NFRA Convention Set for Oct. 16-19 in San Francisco
Networking opportunities abound; last year’s convention drew 1,100 including over 150 retailers, who can register free.
The 2010 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention will be October 16-19, at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square in San Francisco, CA. Sponsored by the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA), Harrisburg, Pa., the event serves as the premier networking venue in the industry, allowing delegates to conduct multiple business meetings with trading partners from every segment of the industry in only a few days. The Convention provides attendees tremendous value by reducing everyone’s time out of the office and the expense of travel throughout the year.
Retailers will receive complimentary meeting rooms where they can hold appointments and conduct business with registered delegates. Last year, the Convention brought together 1,100 attendees, including over 150 retailers, who took advantage of this great opportunity to gather as an industry and establish valuable connections through networking and productive meetings.
This year’s Convention””themed “Making A Golden Connection”””will get started with the annual Taste of Excellence Reception on Sunday night, where manufacturers will elegantly present the latest frozen and refrigerated food products. This popular showcase gives delegates the chance to meet with colleagues and sample the newest industry products at the same time.
The 2010 Convention continues Monday, featuring breakfast speaker Judy Woodruff, Co-anchor and Senior Correspondent of PBS Newshour, and the Annual Membership Luncheon introducing the newest NFRA officers and directors. Tuesday morning begins with speaker Phil Lempert, Author and Food Trends Editor for NBC’s Today. The Convention draws to a close with the Grand Awards Reception & Banquet Tuesday evening. This acclaimed event will recognize the first inductees into the new NFRA Refrigerated Food Hall of Fame and honor the 2010 Golden Penguin Award winners for March Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month and the June/July Ice Cream & Novelties promotion.
