Midwest Refrigerated Services to Acquire High Track Cold Storage

Deal is expected to close in 30 days.

Midwest Refrigerated Services, a Milwaukee, Wis.-based cold storage warehousing company and Midwest Refrigerated Transport a temperature controlled LTL transportation company, have agreed to acquire High Track LLC, a Madison, Wis.-based cold storage business with two facilities.

Mike Pokel, president of Midwest Refrigerated Services and Midwest Refrigerated Transport, said “The acquisition of the two High Track facilities is a strategic fit as we grow the platform of our business. The geographic zone, shared customers, and the high quality facilities and services provided to the customers will complement our existing business.

A core strength of the High Track business is found in the experienced and capable workforce, operational management team, and their loyal customers. Midwest Refrigerated Services operates two facilities in the Milwaukee area providing intensive distribution services to the refrigerated and frozen food industry. Midwest Refrigerated Transport operates the largest multi-temperature controlled LTL transportation consolidation pool in Wisconsin, with scheduled weekly service to all points in the continental 48 states. 

The acquisition is a private sale and terms were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the next 30 days.
