Choptank Transport Honors Veterans with $250 Gift Cards

Preston, MD- In honor of Veterans’ Day, Choptank Transport held a drawing on November 11 for two $250 Walmart gift cards.

In order to be eligible for the drawing you had to be an employee of Choptank Transport or an independent agent working for Choptank and have an immediate family member in active duty or in the reserves.

     The winners were announced on November 12. They were John Dial, husband of Amanda Dial, billing clerk at Choptank, and Edward White, brother of Julie White, a logistics coordinaStor at Choptank.

Sergeant Dial is an E5 in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has been in the Marines since October 2002. He has done three tours in Iraq where he was a Scout Squad Leader of the 2nd Light Armor Recon. His tours included Fallujah, Anah and Al Anbar. He is currently on recruiting duty in Easton.

 White is currently serving his fourth year in the U.S. Army. He has been deployed to Afghanistan three times. On his first tour he was in an IED bombing and two others in his troop were killed. He was awarded the Purple Heart along with a coin from his General for his heroic efforts in the attack. He just arrived back home and is currently stationed in Kansas.
