Joanna Foods Adding Cold Storage Space

Johanna Foods, Inc.,has contracted with Penn Valley Constructors, Inc., to expand its refrigerated warehouse/load-out capabilities at the company’s flagship chilled juice production plant in Flemington, N..J. 

The expansion and upgrade project includes the addition of 32,000 square feet of cold storage and order assembly space including 12 new load-out bays. The Johanna Foods chilled juice facility produces the Johanna brands; Tree Ripe, Ssips and Earth Wise, as well as, private label and national branded products for distribution across the United States.

“When completed, the expansion will provide critical storage space and double the current load-out capacity to meet our customers chilled juice product demands and changing consumer preferences that have resulted in the proliferation of SKU’s in the chilled juice category,” explained Robert A. Facchina, President and CEO of Johanna Foods. Facchina also stated that the project will take 10 to 12 months to complete.
