Cedarlane Debuts in Ontario Whole Foods

Carson, CA (1/11/12) – Cedarlane® Natural Foods, Inc., a leading natural and organic frozen food company popular in the United States and Canada, is bringing a select line of natural frozen food products to three Ontario Whole Foods Market® stores. Cedarlane will debut in the world’s largest retailer of natural and organic foods with seven microwavable vegetarian options and four innovative egg white omelettes.

“After careful consideration of Cedarlane’s product line, it was clear these products met our quality standards,” said John Hopperton, Metro Grocery Buyer for Whole Foods Market in Ontario. “We are very excited about offering Cedarlane’s delicious and healthy selections to our customers.”

“With our complementary health and quality guidelines, Cedarlane products are a natural fit for the Ontario Market,” said Cedarlane Founder and President Robert Atallah. “We are thrilled to be able to offer health-conscious Canadians a fresh variety of healthy, great-tasting and convenient options.”

By the end of the year, a menu of natural, tasty and quick-to-prepare Cedarlane items will be available in all three Ontario stores: Mississauga, Oakville, and Toronto. The items available include:

Cedarlane vegetarian entrees, burritos & wraps

Each entrée is flash frozen to preserve the quality, fresh taste, and comes in at 300 calories or less. Two particularly notable items on the menu include Cedarlane’s new all-natural frozen Garden Vegetable & Mozzarella Egg White Omelette, which was recently awarded the 2012 Grocery Headquarters Selling Wellness Trailblazer Award; and the Low Fat Beans, Rice & Cheese Style Burrito was recently named a 2011 Grand Prize Winner by Cooking Light Magazine in their search for the tastiest frozen burritos in supermarkets. Also notable, Cedarlane’s egg white omelettes were the first product line of egg white omelettes available in the frozen foods market.

Cedarlane, which offers an expanded variety of natural frozen food products at select grocery and natural food stores throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Safeway, Kroger and Publix, was recognized in 2009 as the “Best Natural Frozen Entrees” product line by the World Taste Championship presented by the American Masters of Taste.
