AFFI Convention Offers Sessions on Consumer Insights, Pricing Outlook
Do consumers really value convenience? Are they worried about prices? Do parents want certain foods banned from school cafeterias? The answers to these questions and more might surprise you.
Get in the mind of the American consumer and learn what’s driving his or her buying decisions at AFFI-CON’s “Consumer Perceptions and the Price of Food: Perspectives and Outlook for the Frozen Food Industry” education session set for Feb. 19 from 10 a.m.-noon.
10-11 a.m. −Join Tish Van Dyke of Edelman, the world’s largest independently held public affairs agency, as she unveils the results of the agency’s just-completed “Field to Fork” survey of consumers, policymakers and opinion leaders. Van Dyke will delve into what the survey results mean specifically for the frozen food industry, with a focus on changes in consumer attitudes and what actions lawmakers might take that could impact your business.
11 a.m.-12 p.m. –Warren Thayer, editor of Frozen & Dairy Buyer magazine, will survey what’s driving prices in the frozen food aisle as he examines current trends and developments related to commodity supplies, inputs, transportation and labor costs. In addition, Thayer will also highlight some of the most recent retail sales trends in several key categories.
